Shopping for props!

 Hey everyone I hope you all are having a fantastic day, it's the one the only Hunter, and welcome back to another blog! In today's blog, I will be blogging about all the shopping I had to do and searching to find props. When gathering and shopping for props I need to first know the props I need. The props in this film include a picture frame, a picture, tape, Gatorade, some boxing outfits, a jump rope, and some weights. 

Where I went


To search for picture frames I went Hobby Lobby because they have a wide range of items and I know they have cheap picture frames as well. I say cheap because I need a picture frame that I'm going to be able to break with out hurting my bank account. When I was looking around I found the perfect picture frame and I went about my day to the next stop. I next needed it look for a lot of athletic items so I decided to go to Dicks Sporting Goods. When I was looking for tape I found this athletic tape that boxers use to wrap their hands so I knew I had to get it. I also needed a jump rope and the one they had was a weighted jump-rope which cost more money. I ended up buying it anyways because I could use it for my own time and it would be better for the opening sequence that I am doing. I also needed to find some good boxing shorts and dicks had some big shorts that resembled boxing shorts good enough. I already have plenty of shirts so I was good on shirts. I remembered that my friend Zane already has some weights so I didn't have to worry about that. They had plenty of Gatorade in the fridges there so I just grabbed one for a few bucks. I only need to maker sure I have the garage and I'll be okay. I also need a camera of course and for that I will be using Robert's. His job is to make sure our group has the proper things needed to film.

The next step

After getting all of the props I now need to plan on where I am going to place them. Luckily, I already planned on how the props will be used so I don't have to worry. Some of my teammates will be helping with props as well so we should be good.

Things are looking good!

 Hey everyone this is Hunter Pangia back with another blog and I hope you all are having a great Sunday as you know I am. Today is the Super Bowl, so I will be watching it with family, but I wanted to update everyone on my progress. The props have been purchased and my group and I started filming yesterday. I got through the first opening sequence with them and it's relatively easy because I did one last year as my final task. It is more hard making it shorter as I only have five minutes to film this entire process but I am up for the challenge. Me and Kazmin have similar acting styles so it was easy to have that comradery. I got some good shots of myself plotting with Kaz with Noura filming. I was in my room with Kaz and I was able to get the part filmed where I was plotting how Kaz and I are going to make money.  This process took almost two hours which is pretty long. Short Film Research:Omnibus : Comedy

 Hey everyone, welcome back to another one of our research blogs. Today we will be digging in and looking into the Short Film Omnibus, a comedy. This film was made by Sam Karmann and won the Oscar in the 1992-1993 awards season. It portrays a Frenchman trying to get off of a train at a stop which it wasn't scheduled for.  In this film, the sound starts off as some cheesy movie intro, giving us this pattern that that's how a short film comedy should start. On the train in this film, all you could hear was the sound of the engine along with the dialogue between the Frenchman and the worker on the train. The idea of minimum sound is now starting to become a pattern we have noticed through the short films we have analyzed so far.  When analyzing the Mis-en-scene in this film, the costumes are usually oversized for the main character who has to well be humorous.
