Title Design:Websites

Hey guys it's us again and welcome back to another blog. In today's blog we are now looking into title designs and we need to research how they are made. When looking around the internet we found these two great websites and we'll be explaining what we noticed.

 https://www.artofthetitle.com/

When looking into the art of the titles website for title designs we noticed a few things. At first glance,  the website offers a background about a visual editor which isn't of importance. We saw that this website offers a list of title sequences which is beneficial for us because we are looking in to how to make these title designs and bring them to life. What we like about this website is that they break down the title sequences by year; this allows us to see how titles are evolving or how they are remaining the same throughout the years. We observed that the later the year the title designs are made, the more visually appealing they are to the naked eye. This website seems to only offer title sequences for movies which works for us because we are creating an opening sequence for our final task. Some of the title sequences also get into the development of these title designs which gives us some good background information. The best thing about this website is that they offer a large number of title sequences for us to watch and gather research. The movies are also very relevant in the film world and our well known by many people. This is great for us because it makes researching these title designs more exciting and easier. On top of this there are plenty of action movies to research which is magnificent because our movies genre is action( check our other blogs to learn more). Overall, this website is great and offers a large number of title sequences to look into.

At first glance, we notice that this website offers more than just title sequences. This website offers designers and how they design the titles, the studious that these title sequences were made in, and much more. One key difference between this website and the 'artofthetitle' is that this website offers title sequences for video games, tv shows, event titles, etc. For our project however, knowing how to do these sequences isn't necessary because we only need to learn how title designs are made for movies, more specifically, live action. From the title sequences we are given, we noticed that some of the sequences weren't playable, this could be a computer issue, however there were some movies that did work. This website goes very in depth into the production of the titles and gives a step by step process of how they were made. One disadvantage to this website is that they don't offer nearly as much title sequences as 'art of the title.' Overall, this is a great website, for our project there are some resources we can use and this will be beneficial to us in the end. This is a visually appearing website, in our opinion it's not the most optimal website for us but it does work.
