Our Pitch!

    • Pitch 1: After a year of losing the battle of love, Hunter Pangia decides to get his revenge on Cayden and take back what he wants rightfully. 
    • Pitch 2: A mysterious figure lurking on 63rd murders 63 people to get it 'Back in Blood' while Lil Baby and Da Baby investigates. 
Pitch 1: We really like this pitch because it's something we can relate to and actually film. We have the perfect setting for this as all we need is a gym and a place to train. For creating an opening sequence, this can be done well as we can establish the story easily and have the resources necessary. This pitch would be more about training and fighting and this requires dim lighting for training and someone who can train. Hunter is the perfect candidate for this because he works out a lot and has a history of something like this happening which will help with the acting. The cons of this would be establishing a genre and having the camera skills to film these shots. 

Pitch 2: This pitch takes a different approach and can have a really compelling story. We like this pitch because of mysterious aspect of it and this would keep our watchers with a lot of questions. This can be done under a street light for a great opening sequence. There are cons to this pitch however. In order to film we would need to film at early dawn or at night since this pitch involves murder and mystery. As of the moment we do not have the camera necessary to get clear shots in the complete dark. It would also be difficult obtaining props and editing the cinematic effects of a murder occurring. And since the pitch indicates it takes place on '63rd' we wouldn't have the appropriate setting to indicate it. 

We decided to choose pitch 1 'After a year of losing the battle of love, Hunter Pangia decides to get his revenge on Cayden band take back what he wants rightfully.' We decided to choose this pitch because we believe we would be able to execute this pitch into an opening sequence more easily. We have a home gym, lighting, actors, and the motive necessary to create this pitch. While the other pitch sounded more compelling it was just too complicated to execute. Pitch 1 is something where we can focus on what we're going to film rather than how we're going to film it.

 Hey everyone this is Hunter Pangia back with another blog and welcome back ! Last blog I discussed that I have  a date set. With that being said it's important to note everything that will be done this Sunday . First I made sure with the group that a camera is available to film. Without a camera what could possibly be done ? That was a rhetorical question, nothing can be done . I first searched up the best cameras to use for films and they are pretty expensive. I thought that it would be smart to film on one of the phones my group and I had available. Phones are a perfect alternative. The newer cameras today especially can film in 4k resolution at 60 pristine frames per second. To me it's crazy how much technology has evolved  over the years . I have also confirmed that I will be using my father's bee pollen as the prop for fake drugs. They are safe to consume and it represents the drugs effectively. Title Design:Websites

Hey guys it's us again and welcome back to another blog. In today's blog we are now looking into title designs and we need to research how they are made. When looking around the internet we found these two great websites and we'll be explaining what we noticed.    https://www.artofthetitle.com/   When looking into the art of the titles website for title designs we noticed a few things. At first glance,  the website offers a background about a visual editor which isn't of importance. We saw that this website offers a list of title sequences which is beneficial for us because we are looking in to how to make these title designs and bring them to life. What we like about this website is that they break down the title sequences by year; this allows us to see how titles are evolving or how they are remaining the same throughout the years. Genre Research: Action

 Camera Angles, Movements, Shots Establishing Shot- This shot is used in action films to captivate where the story is taking place so they can get straight to the action. Close up- This shot is used to typically emphasize a quick death in action films. In opening sequences for action films, movies usually start with a lot of action, so close-ups are usually the last shot used to emphasize the action taking place.  Tracking shots- In action films there is always, something significant that happens in the opening sequence to establish the action. Tracking shots are used to capture all of the high speed action taking place.  High angle- This is used to establish the character who is out of power Low angle- Used to show who has the power in the action  Ex: Top Gun Maverick  Mis-En-Scene Props in action movies usually consist of high speed vehicles, guns, weapons, or maybe props to immediately establish what the story is about.
