Planning for the Music Video!

Hey everyone this Hunter Pangia signing in and welcome back to another blog! This may sound ironic but there has been yet another setback due to Tropical Storm Nicole. We haven't been in school this past week however my group and I have been communicating and working on our project as needed. For today's blog I will be discussing our future plans in creating this music video. As I said lot's has been keeping us from working so these plans are not finalized but they are an idea of what we have to come. 

 Props:

The props we will be using for this music video will be played by ear. One prop we would like to use is a bed which will be used for scenes where the child is sleeping waiting for Santa. We would also like to use candy canes since that gives a better Christmas feeling. We would also like to use fake gifts because in Christmas you receive gifts so this will be going with the stereotypes. We would also like to use a Santa Claus actor to give our music video even more Christmas Stereotypes. Other props will be whatever we can find that is Christmas related. 

Costumes: 

The costumes that will be used will be Christmas pajamas. This will be going against Conventions since typically everyone in music videos are usually wearing elf costumes, Santa costumes, and mystical creature costumes. Since my group and I are on a budget we will be wearing Christmas pajamas because it matches the purpose and is affordable. If we can we will have a Santa costume but that is yet to be determined. We want to give a comfortable, warm, vibe since that's what Christmas is all about. 

Schedule:

On 11/13/22, our grouped researched conventions and codes of Christmas music videos

On 11/14/22, our group established the props, costumes, schedule, location list, and backup plan.

On 11/15/22, our group began working on the storyboard for our music video

On 11/16/22, our group completed our storyboard. 

On 11/19/22, our group visited the location to plan where we will film

On 11/26/22, our group begins filming our music video

On 11/30/22, our group continues filming our music video

On 12/05/22, our group finishes filming our music video

On 12/08/22, our group edits the music video

On 12/16/22, our group finishes editing and adds the final touches to the music video. 

Location List:

Our primary location will be at the Galleria mall at Fort Lauderdale. Here, we will be able to film majority of the story. A mall is also convenient because we can get different scenes at different store. We will also film in the gathering area of the mall to get some shots with the Santa actor. 

Our secondary location will be at one of our houses. This will be to get some home shots of what it's like to be a kid on Christmas Eve. This is a great way to distinguish the parts of the story. 

Backup Plan:

If the mall gets shut down for any reason we will only film at someone's house and change the story up a little bit. Everything would remain the same, however the setting would be set at one place. If one of the actors can't make it we will either find more or have the music video with whomever we have.
